Abstract Beaded Pattern

Central Bank of Ireland

“Abstract Beaded Pattern” is a large site specific artwork by artist and architect Patrick Scott (1921-2014) commissioned by the architects of the Central Bank Building Stephenson Gibney, and installed as a backdrop to the main foyer in 1979. This project documents the artwork in situ and its de-installation in 2017 to undergo conservation work and storage prior to the bank’s relocation from the Dame Street building. The project is part of a larger documentation of the Central Bank Building at Dame Street, curated by Valerie Connor and commissioned by the Central Bank of Ireland.
